How Can You Prepare A Baby Or Toddler For A Snow Holiday?

There are so many wonderful firsts when taking care of a baby or toddler, and one of the most simultaneously exciting and nerve-racking firsts is a baby’s first holiday.

There is so much preparation that goes into a first holiday to make sure your baby or toddler is happy and healthy throughout it, but the preparations for a cool winter break in the snow are rather different than those on a sunny beach.

There are plenty of ski resorts throughout the Alps that are very welcoming to babies, and as long as your baby is ready to take such a long journey, a snow break is a lovely place for them to go on their first holiday and see their eyes light up at the snow.

If you are taking a Babyzen with you, then it is as simple as packing dedicated mittens, rain covers or even ski accessories to make sure your baby doesn’t miss out on the fun in the snow.

Once you have the right stroller and the right accessories, the next step is making sure you have all of the essentials packed for your journey along with the stroller.

You need to have your passports and tickets, your phone and charging cable, a camera and battery charger, a plug adaptor for whichever country you go to and a clear plastic case with the essentials for your baby.

You will need baby milk, food pouches, Calpol sachets and anything else essential that you are allowed to take as hand luggage.

As well as this, do not forget SPF factor 50 suncream, baby wipes, bibs, nappies, bottle, swimming clothes, a snowsuit, snow boots, sunglasses, hats and enough clothes to get you through the entire holiday, as well as comforters, cuddly toys and games.

As well as this, do not forget everything you need for feeding, including sterilising bags to make sure you have everything you need without having to gamble on if the lodge or nearby shops can supply you.
